We are pleased to announce that the Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta – Kolkata is now accepting applications for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program for the academic year 2025–2026.

Key Information:

• Program: Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
• Duration: Four (4) years
• Application Fee: NIL
• Specializations: Painting, Painting (Indian Style), Modelling and Sculpture, Graphic Design / Applied Art, Textile Design, Design: Wood and Leather, Ceramic Art and Pottery.
• Selection Process: Admissions will be based on the Higher Secondary (H.S.) results, the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination, and viva-voce.

Eligibility:

• Candidates must have completed the H.S. (12th grade) examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University, as approved by the University of Calcutta.
• Reservation: ST, SC, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS, and PH as per West Bengal Government rules.
• Age Limit: Maximum 23 years as of 1st July 2025. Candidates must have passed the H.S. examination or equivalent not later than 2023.

Examination Materials:

All candidates must bring basic painting materials such as: Quarter sheet board, Pen, pencil, eraser, Watercolours, etc.

6. Fill in the required details in the online application form.

9. Download both the ‘Admit Card’ and the ‘Application Form’ to complete the process.

• Last Date of Application: Midnight of 05.07.2025, unless otherwise notified.
• Follow the Admit Card for the date and time of the Practical Examination Test.
